Trivia

The movie is the second theatrical film depiction of the George W. Bush administration after Oliver Stone's W. The film is also the third collaboration between stars Christian Bale and Amy Adams who worked together on The Fighter and American Hustle. Bale and Steve Carell worked together on McKay's previous film The Big Short.
