Julius Caesar

The growing ambition of Julius Caesar is a source of major concern to his close friend Brutus. Cassius persuades him to participate in his plot to assassinate Caesar but they have both sorely underestimated Mark Antony.

Adaptation of the William Shakespeare play about a conspiracy to assassinate Julius Caesar. It was nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Picture. It won Best Art Direction - Black-and-White. 

Trivia

The only major departure from the play's plot are scenes showing the Battle of Philippi.
