The group's name is an homage to the celestial body Kepler. In October of 2021, it was announced that they had begun work on their debut album.

The band is comprised of Choi Yujin, Shen Xiaoting, Sakamoto Mashiro, Kim Chaehyun, Kim Dayeon, Ezaki Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, Seo Youngeun, and Kang Yeseo.
